Frequently Asked Questions

  • In the area where you intend to wax, your hair needs to be at least ¼ inch. That’s about the length of a grain of rice. Generally, it takes about 2-3 weeks of not shaving (bikini area) for hair to grow to this length. Hair that is shorter is not long enough for the wax to shrink wrap around the hairs and be pulled out.

  • To provide a high level of service, all appointments must be booked online in advance. This way I can prepare for your specific needs.

  • I currently only offer my intimate waxing services to female clientele.

  • Absolutely! I do require that you wear a tampon for sanitary purposes. Also be aware, due to hormones, your service may be more uncomfortable during this time.  It’s not an absolute, but a definite possibility. Some people notice no difference during their cycle while others report a huge difference in pain/discomfort.

    1. While waxing is generally safe for most people, there are some cases where it may not be recommended. You should avoid waxing if you:

    2. Are using certain medications – Prescription acne treatments like Accutane or topical retinoids (Retin-A, Differin, Tazorac) can make the skin more sensitive and prone to lifting.

    3. Have sunburned or irritated skin – Waxing over damaged skin can cause further irritation and discomfort.

    4. Have certain skin conditions – Conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or open wounds in the area being waxed can lead to irritation or complications.

    5. Have diabetes or circulation issues – These conditions can affect healing and increase the risk of infection, so check with a doctor before waxing.

    6. Are undergoing cancer treatments – Chemotherapy and radiation can make the skin extremely sensitive and fragile.

    7. Have recently had certain skin treatments – Chemical peels, laser treatments, or microdermabrasion can make the skin more prone to lifting.

    8. If you’re unsure, it’s always best to consult with your wax specialist or a doctor before booking your appointment!

  • Yes! You can absolutely get waxed while pregnant. However, due to increased blood flow and hormonal changes, your skin may be more sensitive, so the waxing process might feel slightly more uncomfortable. If you’re in your third trimester, certain positions may need to be adjusted for your comfort. Many expectant moms choose to wax throughout pregnancy, especially before delivery, but always check with your doctor if you have any concerns.

  • We know you're excited to show off that bikini wax, but avoid: the gym, sexy time if getting a bikini/brazilian, tanning salon, swimming pool, hot tubs and sauna for at least 24 to 48 hours post wax.
